History
The ICPNA creates in 1991 the Lima Jazz Festival in order to promote the diffusion of this musical genre in our environment giving the XX Century one of its greatest musical manifestations.
The festival is carried out in April and in its ten years has deserved the massive attention of the Lima public. The ICPNA, in this aspect, has achieved the goals for the diffusion and promotion of this genre. Therefore, it has summoned the most outstanding jazz musicians in Peru and from abroad, in this way strengthening the artistic links that are fundamental within the musical creation media.
Due to the success of these festivals, the spaces for the diffusion of jazz has broadened not only in extension and public but there has also been an increase in new talents in whom the dynamic of jazz persists.
